How it works
One link. No math.
GroupTab is a shared tab for trips, bachelorettes and away games. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.
- The stepsNo. 000006
- 01
Start a tab
Name the trip and type in who's coming. No account, no email, no app to download. It takes about 20 seconds.
- 02
Share one link
Drop the link in your group chat. Everyone opens it, taps their name, and their phone remembers them. Anyone can add themselves, and a 4-digit PIN locks your name so nobody else can pick it.
- 03
Log what you spend
Whoever pays adds it: split evenly, leave people out, or type exact amounts. The bride or the birthday person can be covered, and their share is spread across everyone else.
- 04
See who owes whom
GroupTab boils every expense down to a short list of payments, so nobody sends money in circles. Everyone sees the same numbers.
- 05
Settle up
Add your Venmo or Cash App once. When you owe someone, one tap opens the app with the amount filled in (US dollars), or you can pay in cash. The person paid taps Confirm receipt, so there's no “I swear I sent it.”
- 06
Wrap it up
Each person can say they've added everything, and the organizer closes the tab. Closed tabs still settle. Every tab is erased 90 days after the last change.
What GroupTab never does
- Holds, sends or touches your money
- Asks for an account, an email or a password
- Shows ads or uses cookies
The details are in plain words on the privacy page.
